He was raised in Raleigh County, West Virginia, and graduated from Marshall University with an MBA. Justice took over the family business, transforming it into a major agricultural and coal enterprise, making him the largest farmer east of the Mississippi River. He also acquired and revitalized The Greenbrier Resort and several other tourism-focused properties. Governor Justice is known for his charitable contributions, particularly in youth sports and helping those in need through his foundation. He was elected governor in 2016, running as a Republican after previously supporting Democrats, and has focused on improving West Virginia’s economy and quality of life. Justice is a passionate sportsman and community leader, having coached basketball and supported local initiatives throughout his career. He is married to Cathy, with two children, and is a member of the First Baptist Church in Beckley, WV.
