“Robert (Bob) Corker, born August 24, 1952, in Orangeburg, S.C., served as a U.S. Senator from Tennessee from 2007 to 2019. He graduated with a degree in industrial management from the University of Tennessee in 1974. Corker was a commercial real estate developer and owner of a construction company. He served as mayor of Chattanooga from 2001 to 2005 and was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006. Corker was reelected in 2012 and chaired the Senate Foreign Relations Committee during the 114th and 115th Congresses. He chose not to seek re-election in 2018.”
